Baylor again recognized as a ‘Best Value’ by U.S. News & World Report

Each year, U.S. News & World Report releases its “Best College Rankings.” The rankings are the best-recognized and most-cited in all of higher education, and Baylor is consistently ranked among the best schools in the nation.

This year, yet again, there’s more than just the general college ranking for the Baylor Family to take pride in. Once again, Baylor received high marks as a Best Value School — recognized for the return on investment BU students receive.

At No. 75 in the nation, Baylor leads all Big 12 universities and ranks second in the state of Texas (behind only Rice) when it comes to value. In compiling the ranking, U.S. News looks at academic quality, net cost of attendance, and financial aid numbers. (A few other schools’ “best value” rankings for comparison: Texas A&M ranks 78th, TCU 89th, SMU 151st, and UT 169th.)

So, what makes Baylor’s value stand out? You could pinpoint any number of reasons: a caring community, the resources we offer our students for success on and off campus, the amazing first year-experience — the list goes on and on. We know that Baylor isn’t inexpensive, and that many families and students work hard to make their Baylor experience a reality. But we love seeing lists like this as a little reminder that Bears truly get back what they put into the experience — and then some.
