If you were considering, say, taking your car in for service to a particular shop, you’d want to hear from others who have had their vehicles worked on by that mechanic. So if you were deciding what college to attend, wouldn’t you want to hear from those who had been there? Baylor students are many […]
Every time I walk across campus, I just get this really good feeling — I guess it’s a mix of nostalgia and pride about all the good things going on at Baylor today. But if you’re like me, you don’t get to visit campus as often as you’d like. If that’s the case, you owe […]
Baylor mascot Bruiser (assisted by the Baylor spirit squads) stars alongside Penn State’s Nittany Lion and the Clemson Tiger in a new ESPN.com commercial that began airing last week. [Thanks to the Bear Days of Summer blog at BaylorBears.com for the tip.] Sic ’em, Bears!
One of @BaylorProud’s followers on Twitter notified us of this next item (thanks Sarah!) … HHPR professor Dr. Donald Fuller, who heads up Baylor’s undergraduate athletic training program, has been nominated as the 2009 American Volunteer from the Meals on Wheels Association of America! We wrote earlier this month about Baylor sophomore Kristin Elliot being honored with a Jefferson Award for public service; now this week comes news of yet another member of the Baylor family receiving the award. Alumna Betsy Robinson founded Fuzzy Friends Rescue animal shelter in 1996, and she has been the driving force behind one […]

It’s interesting to hear what students say about Baylor without much prompting; many of […]
For the second time in a year and a half, a Baylor student has won on Wheel of Fortune! Junior music education major Kassie Light came away with $11,800, including a stay at a resort in Mexico. After taping the show in February, Light had to hold her tongue until the show’s airing April 17. […]
Seven players from the Big 12 Conference were drafted in the first round of this weekend’s NFL Draft, but none went higher than Baylor’s Jason Smith, who was made the No. 2 overall pick in the draft by the St. Louis Rams. (See video of the pick and Smith’s interview here, and a photo gallery […]
One of the ways Baylor alumni can help other Bears is in the job process — hiring or recommending other Bears for full-time positions or internships. But rarely can Bears help other Bears as directly as this. “Don’t Mess With Texas” is selecting three college students for high-profile summer internships, where they will help teach […]
