KWBU-TV special wins Lone Star Emmy

Congrats to KWBU-TV on their recent Lone Star Emmy nomination winning a 2008 Lone Star Emmy!

The station, which has been housed at Baylor since 1994, last fall produced a companion piece to Ken Burns’ PBS documentary “The War” called “The War: Central Texas Remembers WWII.” The 30-minute special featured interviews with six Central Texans about their experiences in World War II and how it affected their lives, and it’s this special that earned the regional Emmy nomination. (Winners will be announced at the Lone Star Emmy Awards Show on October 18.)
