Five Bears to benefit from prestigious Fulbright Scholarships
The number of Fulbright Scholars on the Baylor campus is on the upswing. Five students received the prestigious scholarship for international study in 2007, two more accomplished the task last year, and yet another five were so honored this spring.
This year’s Fulbright recipients covered five different areas of study. The first four are all seniors: international studies/journalism major Ashley Killough (pictured), Spanish major Alex Nix, French major Aaron M. Reynolds, and University Scholar Megan Rizos. The fifth honoree is Charlie Manzanares, a post-baccalaureate student and 2008 Baylor graduate with a dual JD/MBA degree. Each had wonderful things to say about their experiences at Baylor; click on any or all of the names listed above to read what they had to say.
Could there be a coincidence between this high number of Fulbright recipients and the extra support Baylor has begun offering applicants in recent years? It’s hard to argue otherwise.
Sic ’em, Fulbright scholars and all those who helped them get there!
