Just a quick note this morning to share a story forwarded to me by a friend; I think it illustrates the kind of leaders we are blessed to have here at Baylor. The story is relayed in a blog post written by a Truett Seminary graduate who now lives in Missouri; you can read about […]
When there doesn’t seem to be anything else on, the TV in our household often ends up on Food Network, particularly if one of their competition shows is on: Iron Chef America, Food Network Challenge, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, etc. Baylor/ARAMARK chef Ben Hernandez recently won a regional ARAMARK competition that sounds a lot like […]
Another video to help you get “Up!” on a Monday morning, courtesy of Shania Twain and the same Baylor nursing school students who brought you Footloose last fall. Sic ’em, students!
As a high school student, I worked about 15 hours a week sacking groceries. Though I didn’t particularly care for the job, the pay was alright, and I was able to save up some money that I later needed in college for things like rent and groceries. I was reminded of all this when a […]

Sure, we’ll probably load up on some Baby Einstein and such as well, but this is something much more personal that will connect […]
After eight years of having President George W. Bush often vacationing in nearby Crawford, it’s a little odd to think that the annual media spotlight on Central Texas is coming to an end now as Barack Obama takes the reins of the presidency. During President Bush’s last days in office, Waco news anchor Julie Hays […]

While one reporter will cover the swearing-in ceremony from Capital Hill, the other three will spread out around Pennsylvania Avenue […]
A couple of months ago, we wrote about the new Baylor coffee table book that was about to be released, titled Baylor: A Legacy of Spirit, Tradition, Beauty. The book is out now, and while I didn’t receive it for Christmas (it was on my wish list), I probably will go pick up a copy […]
We’re off for Christmas, but from our den to yours, we hope you have a Beary Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
