• ‘Our Time’ series on ESPN+ takes viewers behind the scenes with Baylor basketball

If you’ve attended Baylor basketball games recently (or even seen some of the players and coaches around town), you might have noticed a camera crew in the vicinity. The reason they’re here is Our Time: an ESPN+ docuseries that exclusively features Baylor men’s and women’s basketball teams in its third season.

It’s an incredible gift for Baylor fans — a show that goes behind the scenes with mic’d up coaches and players; looks inside the locker room before, during and after intense games; and travels along on road trips to help fans get to know what the Bears they cheer for are all about.

Each episode features footage from recent games, and highlights from each episode are available on BaylorBears.com. Six episodes in, we’re now at the halfway point of the 12-episode show; new episodes debut each Thursday. If you haven’t tuned in yet, here’s what you’ve missed so far

Episode 1 – We are the Champions: A look back at the men’s national championship ring ceremony, a glimpse of NaLyssa Smith’s hidden talent — painting, and a trip to the barbershop with Matthew Mayer for mullet maintenance.

Episode 2 – A New Era: A review of Nicki Collen’s first few months at Baylor as she adjusts to a new program and being away from family, a tour of Scott Drew’s office, and a trip to Topgolf with L.J. Cryer and Jordan Lewis.

Episode 3 – Test Time: James Akinjo travels home to Oakland and shares his story of overcoming adversity, and the women battle COVID-19 challenges as the Big 12 season begins.

Episode 4 – Not Your Father’s Waco: Baylor’s hometown is the star of this episode, as Queen Egbo visits the Magnolia Silos and Flo Thamba shows off his off-court skill: photography.

Episode 5 – Faith and Family: Travel along with Coach Nicki to visit her husband and kids in Georgia on an off day, get to know Caitlin Bickle better, rediscover what men’s basketball’s Culture of JOY is all about, and visit a hospital with pre-med student-athlete Adam Flagler.

Episode 6 – Road Warriors: The most recent episode goes in-depth on two big road games at the start of February: the men’s trip to Kansas, and the women’s win in Austin.

ESPN+ is a subscription-based streaming service starting at $6.99 a month, and all previous episodes are available on-demand for binge-watching. With the Big 12 title pushes and March Madness looming, along with the quality of Bears on and off the court, we can’t wait to see what’s ahead on the second half of the series.

    Sic ’em, Our Time!
