Baylor ranked top 15 in the nation for social media engagement
Fall is “national rankings” season in higher ed, and Baylor’s report card is looking good: ranked among the top 20% of universities nationwide; on a short list for best undergraduate teaching and best undergraduate research opportunities; listed among the nation’s best student experiences by the Wall Street Journal and U.S. News; and even named to the honor roll as a “Great College to Work For.”
And now, here’s another one: Baylor ranks among the top 15 universities in the country when it comes to social media!
Earlier this fall, Baylor came in at No. 11 in the nation — just behind BYU and Michigan State, and just ahead of Virginia Tech and the U.S. Naval Academy — in a comprehensive ranking of higher ed social media efforts. That’s up one spot from last year, and remains the best in the Big 12.
The folks behind the survey, RivalIQ, commended Baylor social media for its focus on academics, alumni, and athletic highlights. That makes sense — the Baylor Family has had lots to celebrate over the past year! From academic honors like those listed above, to welcoming new, renowned faculty to campus, to alumni leading Fortune 500 companies, to — oh yeah — a basketball national championship, 2020-21 has been a good year.
The honor speaks both to the quality of what Baylor’s social media team is posting, and to how engaged the Baylor Family remains with the university — even long after graduation.
This isn’t the first time Baylor has been recognized for its social media presence, and thanks to you, we have no reason to think it will be the last. So keep posting those pictures, sharing those stories, and letting everyone in your social media orbit see why you love Baylor so much.
(And if you don’t already, follow Baylor on your favorite social media platforms. Don’t forget to follow @BaylorProud on Twitter, too!)
Sic ’em, Bears!
