Baylor social media ranks among higher ed’s best in two national studies
When it comes to social media, Baylor ranks among the best in higher ed — thanks in large part to you, Baylor Family.
Two recent national studies each ranked Baylor’s social media efforts No. 1 in the Big 12, No. 2 in Texas, and among the top 12 nationally. #SicEm
One report added up all the likes on all the Instagram photos posted by colleges and universities nationwide through the first nine months of 2020 — and Baylor came in at No. 9 nationally (surrounded by schools with much larger followings). In another, more comprehensive ranking of higher ed social media efforts — a study that looked at a year’s worth of engagement across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram — Baylor was ranked No. 12 in the nation.
In both studies, Baylor is surrounded by some pretty impressive names. The Instagram top 10, in particular, is a nice list: Harvard, Ohio State, Columbia, Texas A&M, Michigan, Clemson, Navy, Yale, Baylor and Stanford. (Put another way, that’s three Ivy League schools, 4 large state universities, a service academy, plus Baylor and Stanford.)
The honor speaks to the quality of what Baylor’s social media team is posting, of course, but also to how engaged the Baylor Family remains with the university, even long after graduation.
This isn’t the first time Baylor has been honored for its social media presence, and thanks to you, we have no reason to think it will be the last. So keep posting those pictures, sharing those stories, and letting everyone in your social media orbit see why you love Baylor so much.
If you don’t already, follow Baylor on your favorite social media platforms. (Don’t forget to follow @BaylorProud on Twitter, too!)
Sic ’em, Bears on social media!
