• #BearsOfBaylor — “It’s the type of environment that I want [my child] to be in.”

“Everyone that I’ve actually met at Baylor has been so genuinely loving and caring, even with the parents. It’s the type of environment that I want [my child] to be in. It’s almost like going to a really, really good church, and everybody just truly and genuinely loves the Lord; you just connect.”

[What are your goals for your son these next few years?]
“Honestly, I believe God is going to answer all those prayers I’ve prayed for the first 18 years of his life. You work really hard as a parent to make sure your kids have the best education to prepare them for this day. I believe all the things I’ve poured into him as a mother, it will come forward, he will remember… I know he’ll have some bumps along the way, but I think that he’s equipped to make it through. I’m excited for him. He will find more of himself since I won’t be there looking or knowing everything that’s going on. He will find and identify more of who he is. That’s necessary. I’ll be proud no matter what, because I know God has His hand on him and He will do great things. That’s always been my prayer.”
