• Business students participate in Q&A with billionaire Buffett

    Warren Buffet with Baylor students

It’s not every day you get to meet one of the world’s most successful businessmen, so Baylor students soaked in the experience during a recent trip to Omaha, Neb., where they joined several other college groups in meeting with multibillionaire investor Warren Buffett.

Buffett — recently recognized as the world’s third-richest man by Forbes, behind only Mexico’s Carlos Slim Helu and Microsoft’s Bill Gates — welcomed the group for lunch and an exclusive Q&A session in which students peppered their host with inquiries about his philosophy on life and business. Afterwards, Buffett took time to pose for individual photos with his guests.

The opportunity to meet with Buffett is a distinction schools across the globe apply for, so being selected was an honor for Baylor and reflects well on the university’s Hankamer School of Business. Five other universities — Ohio State, Duke, Texas, Creighton and Western Ontario — also participated in the event, but only Baylor elected to recognize undergraduate students by including them on the trip alongside MBA candidates.

    Sic ’em, Baylor business students!
