Baylor football in ESPN The Magazine

As Baylor football begins preseason drills today, members of the national media are continuing to pick up on the optimism surrounding the Bears’ program. Following a surge of positive coverage this spring, the current issue of ESPN The Magazine includes an excellent four-page feature on how head coach Art Briles has led Baylor football forward. (Those with a subscription to ESPN Insider can read the article online.)

As the article notes, there’s plenty to be excited about. Four Bears earned Preseason All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches, not including quarterback Robert Griffin, who was named Monday to the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award Watch List.

The Bears kick off the season one month from today at Wake Forest in a nationally televised match-up. Season tickets are on sale now, as are tickets for the Baylor-Texas Tech game to be played in November at the new Cowboys Stadium. (Individual game tickets go on sale next week.) Get ’em while you can!

    Sic ’em, Baylor football!
