Bear leads Bucs to win with last-minute FG
In case you missed it Sunday, former Baylor kicker Matt Bryant’s game-winning 43-yard field goal with 11 seconds left led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 13-10 win over the Tennessee Titans. (Click here for video.)
Bryant, one of seven Bears active in the NFL, spent two years at Baylor (1997-98). His 21 career field goals rank seventh in the Baylor recordbooks, and his .724 career field-goal percentage is third-best in school history.
Through six games, Bryant ranks fourth in the NFC in field-goal percentage, having hit eight of nine on the year. (His only miss came on a 54-yard attempt in week three.) The St. Petersburg Times ran a nice feature on him this week, too.
Sic ’em, Matt!
