• Baylor alums top list of best-selling Christian albums on iTunes

iTunes top 10 Christian & Gospel albumsWe’ve seen the iTunes folks highlight other Baylor grads in the past like Addison Road and Erin McCarley. Now this week, folks visiting the iTunes Christian & Gospel page found offerings from two Baylor alumni groups among the top three best-selling albums nationwide.

Most folks know that the David Crowder Band hails from Baylor/Waco, as they still lead worship at University Baptist Church when not on the road. Their recent release, Church Music, holds down the top spot (and is even spotlighted with an ad in the top center of the page). But at No. 3 sits another Baylor-related group, Dutton, with their CD All Things Fade.

Lead vocalist Logan Walter (BA ’07), drummer Nathan Jennings (BBA ’03) and guitarists Brian Patterson (BA ’08) and Shane Wilson (BBA ’04) are all Baylor alums. The band began as the fill-in group at UBC when the David Crowder Band was on the road; they later moved to The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas, where they lead worship now (when not on the road themselves).

    Sic ’em, Dutton!
