Old Dominion concert, football victory cap Family Weekend 2026
Baylor has always been about family — so it was a joy to welcome thousands of BU parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and more to campus this past weekend for Family Weekend 2026.
From the new “Wake Up!” coffee crawl, “Meet the Faculty” Welcome Hour, Taste of Waco, After Dark, and Old Dominion concert on Friday, and on through the Family Tailgate and Baylor Football’s win Saturday, the weekend was a joyful celebration of our Bears and their biggest fans.
For those who couldn’t make it (or those who just want to relive it), here’s a look back at some of the highlights:
New to Family Weekend this year was “Wake Up!“, a coffee crawl involving eight of Waco’s favorite coffee (and tea) shops. Registered participants received one free cup of coffee at each shop; those who visited five or more shops could also get a free t-shirt, printed on the spot by a local vendor:
Friday afternoon, the “Meet the Faculty” Welcome Hour brought together parents and professors over Dr Pepper floats (of course) at the Hurd Welcome Center:

For dinner, a host of Waco’s favorite food trucks convened on Fountain Mall for “Taste of Waco“:

Friday night of Family Weekend always means “After Dark,” the annual student talent show:

The highlight of the evening was the Old Dominion concert at Foster Pavilion, which brought together Bears of all ages for an incredible show:
