Business school among nation’s top 10 in three categories
Once again, Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business ranks among the top 50 undergraduate business schools in the country, according to the results of a nationwide survey of students conducted by BusinessWeek. Hankamer was particularly lauded for its “small classes, strong accounting program, and focus on ethics.”
Baylor ranked among the top 10 in the nation in three categories: Quantitative Methods (No. 5), Accounting (No. 7) and Corporate Strategy (No. 8). An article on Yahoo News about the results pointed out that “At Baylor, students say they are treated like accounting professionals, and that finding a job in the field is a cinch, thanks to a career fair specifically for accounting students.”
The same issue also features 1994 alumnus Scott James as one of “America’s Most Promising Social Entrepreneurs.” James is also highlighted in the current issue of the Baylor Business Review; both stories highlight James’ desire to use business to help others, through fair trade practices and by donating profits to charity.
