95% of Baylor alumni say they are BaylorProud

This is a nice way to start the year… An independent survey commissioned by Baylor’s Marketing & Communications office last fall found that this blog — BaylorProud — is the No. 1 way our alumni say they get most of their information about Baylor.

For that, we say “Thank you!” We’re glad you enjoy reading these posts, and that you find them useful in keeping you connected to what’s going on inside the Baylor family. We try to make it easy for you, posting essentially daily to the blog and then sharing our favorite stories in an email every week or two.

But of course, the BaylorProud blog/email combination isn’t the only way to stay in touch with what’s happening at Baylor. If you want something you can hold and page through, there’s Baylor Magazine. Or perhaps you prefer social media and like reading updates on Facebook and Twitter. Or you can stop by Baylor.edu any time for information, or check out Baylor’s Instagram and Pinterest accounts, or… Well, you get the idea.

The point is, however you want to stay in touch, there’s likely an option for you to find your sweet spot in communicating with Baylor — hopefully not too little or not too much, but just right. So, how are we all doing?

That same alumni survey mentioned earlier — part of an ongoing effort that interviews 1,000+ alumni nationwide every two years on a wide variety of subjects — also found that the vast majority of Bears (about 80%) said that Baylor does a good job keeping them informed, and that they receive just the right amount of information from the university. (If you’re among the 11% of respondents who said they receive “too little” information, then check out those links above!)

Strong communication is a key part of any healthy family, which helps explain why 95% of alumni said they were proud to be a Baylor graduate. Your pride in Baylor naturally makes us proud, too.

    Sic ’em, Baylor family!
