• NBC names a Bear its top intern for spring semester

NBC logoI’m a big fan of the sitcom 30 Rock, so when I heard that a Baylor student had been recognized as one of NBC’s top interns, I immediately pictured Kenneth the page. But senior Shaun Patterson’s duties while interning for NBC during her stint with the Baylor Communication in New York program were far more complex than what Kenneth handles on the show (except for the episode where he becomes Mr. Donaghy’s personal assistant… but I digress).

Patterson was chosen from among the more than 100 interns who worked at NBC this semester to receive the NBC Universal Intern Excellence Award. This spring, Patterson worked with NBC Universal Digital Studio, assisting the supervising and executive producers in daily tasks, helping create new branded show ideas and interactive elements for various clients, pitching show ideas to the broader NBC Universal Digital Studio team, and helping create new databases that will be used for future Digital Studio protocol. Patterson was the only intern working with the Digital Studio.

    Sic ’em, Shaun!
