So you’re new to Baylor Proud? Here’s what we’re all about.
Maybe you’re a high school student considering attending Baylor, or a freshman still learning about all Baylor has to offer. Maybe you’re an alum who’s been receiving Baylor Proud e-mails for awhile, or one who just learned of this site from the “Welcome Home” brochures distributed around campus this weekend for Homecoming (pictured at right).
Whatever the reason, if you’ve just discovered Baylor Proud, you might be wondering — what’s this all about? We like to think of Baylor Proud as the Baylor family’s refrigerator door, where we post good news we want to share or items we don’t want to forget.
There’s plenty of ways to keep up with Baylor through this site; here’s a quick rundown:
- There’s the blog, which you can bookmark or subscribe to through our RSS feed.
- There’s also the e-mail (see a sample here), which we send out every week or two. Each e-mail contains a few (but not all) of our favorite recent posts; you can subscribe to the e-mail here.
- You can follow @BaylorProud on Twitter; we share not just the blog posts but other assorted BU news and notes that you might not find anywhere else. (Here are a few examples.)
- The official Baylor Facebook page also shares Baylor Proud’s posts with its followers (38,000 and counting!).
- If you’re interested in a particular subject — stories about alumni, or athletics, or photo galleries, for instance — you can click on the individual categories under “Points of Pride” in the right column.
We’re also always on the lookout for more stories from the family. Do you know of an inspiring story, news item, or just a fun link that makes you proud of Baylor and the Baylor family? Share it with us by submitting your point of pride.
Thanks for your readership and your participation in the Baylor family!
Sic ’em, Bears!
