Baylor’s favorite live bears, Joy & Lady, take over Twitter
Baylor’s beloved American black bears, Joy and Lady, made history this weekend as the first live college mascots to send a tweet — thanks to a custom, paw-friendly Twitter app, mounted in a bear-sized wooden box placed in the Habitat.
And the ladies didn’t stop at just one tweet; they were active on social media all day Friday and Saturday, posting about everything from their diet to their thoughts on the Baylor-Texas game.
In case you missed it, here’s a sampling of what Joy and Lady had to say:
Told a finance major I was a bear and he said “not in this market.” what is that supposed to mean?! #BaylorHabiTweets

.@CoachDaveAranda @BUFootball We’re both 6’ 250lbs, and we can run 35 mph and catch a salmon in midstream. Think you have spots on the roster for us? #BaylorHabiTweets
