Baylor’s Green and Gold Weekend — essentially, spring Homecoming — returns in April
Last year, Baylor introduced a new event called “Green and Gold Weekend” — essentially, a spring Homecoming, centered around Baylor football’s spring game but also including other events for students, alumni and their families all across campus.
In less than a month — April 12-14, 2019 — Green and Gold Weekend returns, full of sporting events, reunions, and other fun opportunities for the entire Baylor Family.
If you like watching sports, you can look forward to:
- Baylor football’s Green and Gold spring game
- Baseball vs. Oklahoma (Friday-Sunday)
- Softball vs. Texas Tech (Friday-Sunday)
(Word is Athletics also has something special planned prior to the Green and Gold game; stay tuned to social media for more on that in the coming weeks.)
There are plenty of other campus activities:
- The Armstrong Browning Library’s annual Browning Day Celebration
- The School of Music’s Student Brass Chamber Recital
- The Black Alumni Network annual meeting, hosted by Baylor Alumni Engagement
- The Baylor Latino annual meeting, hosted by Baylor Alumni Engagement
- The Mayborn Museum’s “An Afternoon in the Village” and its special “Very Eric Carle” exhibit
Waco will also be bustling with special activities:
- Brazos Nights concert, featuring Booker T. Jones
