  • What the first 100 days looks like for a new Baylor student

Baylor is known for its incredible student experience, especially for first-year students. A look at what students can expect during their first 100 days on campus illustrates that beautifully:

Move2BU is where it all begins. While you get to know your new roommate, a swarm of Baylor volunteers will deliver your belongings right to your dorm room. You might even get a surprise visit from President Livingstone!

Then it’s Welcome Week — the official start of your Baylor journey. You’ll join other new students in the days leading up to the fall semester for events like Spirit Rally, Church Fair, Big Event and a candlelight worship service:

After a quiet summer, it’s always exciting to see campus come alive in the first week of the fall semester. You’ll attend your first Baylor classes, enjoy your first Dr Pepper float at Dr Pepper Hour, and meet leaders from over 400 student organizations at Late Night:

Howdy at the Hurd, presented by Pi Beta Phi, serves as our official Texas welcome to campus. Don your best western boots and hats and come enjoy food trucks, line dancing, and a free concert (past performers include Bailey Zimmerman and Ty Myers).

Football games at McLane Stadium begin with one of the best traditions in college sports: the running of the Baylor Line. As a new student, you’ll get to run onto the field before kick-off and form a tunnel for the players running onto the field. Then, you’ll head up to some of the best seats in the stadium — centered on the 50-yard line, right behind the visitors’ bench — to cheer on the Bears!

Mid-September is a great time for your parents to make their first visit, during Family Weekend! After showing your loved ones around campus, join them for a concert at Foster Pavilion (this year features Old Dominion) and a host of other events before the football game on Saturday.

Before you know it, it will be Homecoming — and nobody does HoCo like Baylor, because no one’s been doing it quite as long! Alumni and students come together to celebrate what’s truly special about the Baylor experience through a pep rally/bonfire, parade, football game, and more.

By now, the semester is flying by — the Steppin’ Out day of service, ¡Fiesta!, start of basketball, All-University Thanksgiving — and before you know it, those 100 days have come and gone.

We hope you’re making the most of your summer, and can’t wait to welcome you to campus this fall!

    Sic ’em, Bears!
