• #BearsOfBaylor — “Now when I go home, it’s like, ‘When can I come back to Baylor?’”

“When I first came to college, that first semester was really difficult, because I was just homesick. My parents weren’t there, and I got mono in October… My parents tried to comfort me over the phone, but it’s something you have to deal with yourself, get back up and go to class the next day because you can’t miss too much, you know? It’s learning to take care of yourself without mom and dad holding your hand through everything.

“[College] is way more difficult from high school. There’s a lot more pressure, and the classes are so difficult. But honestly, every day I’m so grateful I chose Baylor. It’s my dream college. I came here a lot [in high school], and every time I just got this feeling whenever I’d see the campus. I fell in love with it every single time I came. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.

“Now when I go home, it’s like, ‘When can I come back to Baylor?’”
