• Diadeloso 2017: the GOAT (yoga)

    Diadeloso 2017

Diadeloso 2017 featured most of the things Baylor Bears have long enjoyed on “The Day of the Bear”: food, bands and other performances, competitions, etc. But it will always be remembered for the goat yoga.

Yes, goat yoga. It’s exactly what it sounds like — yoga, but with baby goats wandering through the area, like you’re in a petting zoo. Four sessions of 100 spots each sold out long before Dia even arrived. [SEE PHOTOS of goat yoga and everything else from this year’s Dia.]

For those who couldn’t book a yoga spot, there was still plenty to do, starting the day before with Dia Del Rio (sand volleyball, kayaking, and other beach activities at the newly renovated Pullin Family Marina) and Noche Del Oso (a free crawfish boil followed by Rogue One on the McLane Stadium video board).

The activities continued on Dia, from a fun run and zumba to the Student Appreciation Football Practice on through an afternoon full of bands, competitions and other activities. The day ended with a concert by Ansolo (better known as Ansel Elgort, who you might recognize from The Fault in Our Stars and the Divergent series).

As always, special thanks to Baylor Chamber for putting on the event; these students’ hard work often goes unnoticed, and they deserve a round of applause.

    Sic ’em, Dia participants!
