Baylor Law students regularly have the top pass rate on the Texas State Bar Exam, but this tidbit is the icing on the cake: A pair of Baylor students were among the top three individual scorers on the February exam. Dallas native Thomas Keane earned the second highest score on the exam, while Ashley DeForest […]
When colleges and universities talk about rankings, they’re usually referring to the ones annually released by U.S. News and World Report. The publication’s lists make a big splash when they are released every year and have come to be the most relied-upon evaluation of a school’s academic standing. But at the end of the day, […]
Statistics — particularly wins and losses — help make measuring success in athletics easy. What we really like to see are long runs of success — like the 43-1 record in Big 12 play that Baylor’s women’s tennis team has racked up the last four seasons. Baylor’s School of Music has its own success rate […]
Two of Baylor’s newest alumni will soon be teaching English in Germany as the University’s latest recipients of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. Lauren Hughes and Cleyera Martin both graduated on Saturday — Hughes with a degree in international studies and Martin with a degree in German. These three students have each chosen Baylor and are just a sampling of the 3,000-plus students who will […]

As such, Daniel will receive $20,000 and will present a public lecture on campus later this fall. If you’re thinking, “Didn’t we just hear someone else named professor of the year?”, the answer is “sort of.” Dr. Mona Choucair, […]
When I heard that Dr. Mona Choucair won this year’s Collins Outstanding Professor Award, I was both overjoyed and completely unsurprised. For the senior lecturer with dual appointments in the English Department and the School of Education, it was only a matter of time. Dr. Choucair (BA ’86, PhD ’00) is the epitome of what […]
