• Baylor football makes Big 12 Championship game for 2nd time in 3 years

Baylor football lined up at line of scrimmage vs. Oklahoma State

For the second time in three years, Baylor football is headed to the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship game! The No. 9-ranked Bears will face No. 5-ranked Oklahoma State on Saturday at AT&T Stadium (11 a.m., ABC).

Fun fact: Since the Big 12 restored its conference championship game in 2017, only two schools have made more than one appearance: Oklahoma and Baylor. (And Baylor’s two appearances have come under two different coaches: Matt Rhule in 2019, and Dave Aranda in 2021.)

The Bears enter the title game at 10-2 on the season, but the Cowboys accounted for one of those two losses — a 24-14 loss in Stillwater in early October. At 11-1 on the season (and 8-1 in conference), Oklahoma State finished the Big 12 regular season in first place; Baylor and Oklahoma tied for second with 7-2 conference records, but the Bears claimed the title game spot thanks to their win over OU earlier this month.

Looking for tickets? Seats in the Baylor block are available starting at $95. (A student ticket/travel package is also available.) You can also register now for the Baylor Alumni Tailgate, to be held near AT&T Stadium on Saturday morning from 8-10:30. Or if you just need something new to wear, the Baylor Bookstore has plenty of gear and accessories available.

    Sic ’em, Bears!
