• Baylor again named among the nation’s “Great Colleges to Work For”

For a decade now, Baylor has stood out among its peers as a “Great College to Work For.” Again in 2020, Baylor earned that elite designation following a nationwide survey released recently by The Chronicle of Higher Education.

This year, Baylor again stands out among the best of the best, attaining Honor Roll status for the third consecutive year and the ninth time overall.

The survey has earned a reputation as the gold standard in measuring higher education workplaces through the collection of employee feedback, highlighted by a thorough survey of a breadth of areas across the university. Baylor earned top honors in nine of those categories this year, including job satisfaction and support, work/life balance, teaching environment, confidence in senior leadership and compensation/benefits and respect and appreciation. Nationally, Baylor is one of just eight schools cited in at least 11 of the 12 measures.

In a year like 2020, that foundation of support from top to bottom may be even more vital than normal in helping Baylor faculty and staff serve students at a high level while navigating the COVID-19-related adjustments that impact everyone. Baylor’s reputation for a caring community and commitment to excellence shines through even in challenging times in the ways faculty and staff feel about the institution they serve.

    Sic ’em, Bears!
