Recapping #Baylor175: A look back at Baylor’s 175th birthday celebrations
Baylor was chartered by the Republic of Texas on Feb. 1, 1845 — which means that this past month marked Baylor’s 175th birthday! That’s a lot of years of mixing academic excellence with Christian commitment — certainly enough years to merit a month-long celebration. Here are some of the ways Baylor celebrated its 175th on campus:
We turned our men’s basketball game on Feb. 1 into a birthday party, complete with party hats, a giant cake, Silos Baking Co. cupcakes, and most importantly, a win over TCU.
February 1st, 2020 marked @Baylor‘s 1⃣7⃣5⃣th birthday! 🥳🎉🎊

We celebrated our history of academics, traditions, campus growth and athletics.
We talked to alumni about their Baylor memories and stories.
Heck, we even created an entire museum exhibit to celebrate.
Needless to say, it was a pretty great month. Thanks for everyone in the Baylor Family who celebrated along with us. Here’s to another 175!
Sic ’em, Bears!
