Diadeloso 2019: An otter-ly amazing day
Waco brought out the warmest day of the year thus far to give us a perfectly bright and sunny Diadeloso!
The day kicked off with the annual Fun Run from McLane Stadium to Fountain Mall, complete with colored paint and foam. Then, a change — instead of goats, this year’s Dia gave students the opportunity to get nice and cozy with some adorable otters!

Otters weren’t the only new and exciting attraction at this year’s Dia, though – the Glow Lounge set up on Fountain Mall was another fun addition, complete with A/C, free trinkets, cotton candy, Jenga, a DJ, and a neon photo op!
Of course, students, faculty and families alike lined up for free lunch and cookies with Miss Mei, followed by more activities on Fountain Mall — including a ninja warrior course, bubble soccer, jousting, and of course, tug of war.
Inside Moody Library, an arcade offered students the chance to play such classic games as Frogger, Donkey Kong and Dance Dance Revolution, and just outside Moody, a Ferris wheel offered those who rode it a perfect view of Fountain Mall.
The day ended with a concert by Calpurnia, a band front-manned by Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard, who sported a Baylor slime cap on stage!
