How many of these Bible verses have you seen on Baylor’s campus?
Anyone who’s ever set foot on the Baylor campus knows how deeply the university is dedicated to its Christian mission. The very first part of our motto is “Pro Ecclesia” — for the church. The first pillar of our academic strategic plan is to have an “unambiguously Christian educational environment.” Chapel and religion are mandated classes. And I’ve nearly lost count of how many chapels we have where students can stop and pray at any time.
But perhaps the most tangible way that Christian mission is portrayed is in the dozens upon dozens of Scriptures literally ingrained across campus — on sidewalks, building facades, plaques, bricks, even the bells of the McLane Carillon!
Over the past year, Baylor’s social media accounts have been regularly featuring some of these locations and their verses as examples of #WednesdayWisdom. Here are some favorites:

How many college campuses get to proclaim God’s word so proudly and openly? I love that Baylor gives people such opportunities to reflect on God’s word, simply by strolling across campus.
Sic ’em, Bears!
