• ‘A Baylor Christmas’ delivers holiday music from Waco all over the country

A Baylor Christmas recording in Waco Hall

For almost 50 years, the combined choirs and orchestra of Baylor’s School of Music have welcomed Christmas with joyful worship during Christmas on 5th Street. This month — for the fifth year in a row — their hour-long performance is being broadcast on stations across the country.

Thanks to a partnership with KWTX, “A Baylor Christmas” will air this holiday season on stations all over Texas and in 18 other states (click here for complete listings). This year’s program features the traditional candlelight processional and such favorite Christmas hymns as “What Child is This” and “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.”

And even if you’re not in one of the cities airing the special, you’ll still be able to view it on the Baylor YouTube channel. Subscribe now and you’ll be notified when the complete program is available. (While you’re waiting, check out this playlist of Christmas music from the McLane Carillon, past “A Baylor Christmas” recordings, and more.)

    Sic ’em, Baylor music students!
