Merry Christmas, Baylor family!
There are many reasons I love being a part of the Baylor family, but this time of year reminds me of one of the best reasons.
Whether our football team wins one game or 11, whether we’re highly recognized in academic rankings or not, whether the world celebrates with us or looks down on us as “scrubby little Baylor”… We are blessed to be part of a unique community.
How many universities pursue world-class research — and yet, make a point to wish passers-by “Merry Christmas” along the Interstate (pictured above)? How many colleges send students on mission trips to not only use their classroom knowledge to serve those in need, but also to share the good news of Jesus Christ?
We are blessed, to be sure. And because of that, we want to be blessings to the world. That, in large part, is why I am BaylorProud — not just at Christmas, but year-round.
