Imagine you’re cruising around, cranking up the radio, when something even more familiar than the top 20 starts to play: your own voice.

That was reality for country singer and Baylor grad Sarah Elizabeth Swagerty, a.k.a. SaraBeth, when she recently heard her single “Nowhere With You” on the radio for the first time. “What am I supposed to do?” she asked her drummer. “Take a video of this?”

As a student at Baylor, SaraBeth (a Tri Delt) studied abroad in Great Britain, participated in Habitat for Humanity, and was active in numerous on-campus organizations. Since graduating in 2009, she has put her BBA to use in starting her own company, SaraBeth Swagerty Music.

Billboard Magazine recently featured Swagerty and her rise in the world of country music. Adding to her current collection of two albums and an upcoming spring EP release, this week SaraBeth released her cover of “Silent Night.” The proceeds from the Christmas single will be donated to City of Hope to help them in their fight to end cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses.

    Sic ’em, SaraBeth!
