• Baylor alums behind live national Christian concert on New Year’s Eve

    New Year's Impact

Lecrae, Matthew West, Jeremy Camp, Shane & Shane and Natalie Grant are just a few of the artists coming together in Nashville on New Year’s Eve for a major holiday concert. New Year’s Impact will be streamed free to churches and individual viewers around the world on New Year’s Eve from 7 p.m. to midnight (Central time), ushering in 2014.

Behind the headliners is a team of Baylor alums bringing the music to the masses. Blue Scout Media, a production company based in Waco that specializes in live online events, created New Year’s Impact as an alternative to secular celebrations and will also produce the live event.

The Blue Scout Media team includes among its owners Baylor alumni Neil Luft, BBA ’01, MBA ’03; Jay Powers and his wife, Donna, BA ’98; Kim Wilson Stevens, BSEd ’93; Trey Weir, BBA ’93; and Colin Witt, BA ’95; as well as former BaylorVision director Bryan Bray.

“Impact will be one of the largest faith-based gatherings of any kind,” says Powers, “and we’re excited about the work we know God will do through this event.”

    Sic ’em, Blue Scout Media!
