• Baylor equestrian helps make a cancer patient’s dream reality

    Taylor Darling and Fudge7-year-old Taylor Darling has been fighting cancer for nearly two years; thankfully, it is now in remission. As she travels the road back to good health, she’ll have a new companion: a 6-year-old black quarter pony horse she named “Fudge.”

    The pony was a gift from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and was presented during an intermission at a recent Baylor equestrian meet, when Darling was also made an honorary equestrian team member. Coming in, she knew she had been selected as an “honorary carrot-feeder” for the day, but she had no idea that the pony she was feeding was her own.
