Phi Kappa Chi won 1st place for their act, “Dust Bowl Days.” The Baylor Lariat agreed, describing their performance as “the best thing that happened to Sing this year. … This Oklahoma-esque number proves a moving story can, in fact, be told in just seven minutes.”
After winning the last two years, Kappa Omega Tau (“The Grand Hotel”) placed second this spring, followed by Pi Beta Phi (“Back in the Habit”) in third. Phi Chi, KOT and Pi Phi will be joined at this fall’s Pigskin Revue by Alpha Tau Omega, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Kappa Sigma. (Mark your calendars now for Pigskin 2015 during Homecoming weekend, Oct. 22-24.)
(For the uninitiated, All University Sing is a Baylor tradition dating back to 1953. This year’s event featured 18 seven-minute Broadway-style acts from 2- student organizations, all competing in front of judges, family and friends.)
Sic ’em, Sing stars!
