• McLane to receive George H.W. Bush Community Impact Award

President and Mrs. George H.W. Bush Community Impact AwardYou can find Drayton McLane’s name all over the Baylor campus. The most well-known examples are the McLane Student Life Center, named for his family thanks to their help in getting that facility built, and the carillon bells in Pat Neff Hall that his family’s generosity helped provide, but McLane, BBA ’58, has given generously to many other projects over the years. He has also given of his time and abilities in serving the university as a Trustee/Regent (1988-2006), and he is one of four living individuals to have been honored with the title of Regent Emeritus.

But McLane’s generosity has also been felt far beyond the borders of the Baylor campus. For his work over the years in Houston, he and his wife, Elizabeth, are being honored with the President and Mrs. George H.W. Bush
