Yet another Baylor professor was honored for his work in the classroom recently, as business professor Dr. James Garven received the Excellence in Teaching award from the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA), the premier international academic association for research in risk management and insurance.
Many students say Garven’s class is both the hardest and the best in the business school. He’s also known for being among the school’s most accessible professors, as he maintains not only a personal website but also a blog and a Twitter account.
