He was elected to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylorbears.com\/ot\/hall-alpha.html\" target=\"_blank\">Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame<\/a> in 2000, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatf.org\/halloffame\/tf\/showbio.asp?hofids=200\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Track &amp; Field Hall of Fame<\/a> in 2004, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.baylor.edu\/2009\/07\/michael-johnson-voted-into-us-olympic-hall-of-fame\/\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame<\/a> in 2009, and will be inducted as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iaaf.org\/Mini\/HOF\/News\/NewsDetail.aspx?id=64753\" target=\"_blank\">international IAAF Track and Field Hall of Fame<\/a>&#8216;s inaugural class in November.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, Johnson has served as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylorbears.com\/sports\/c-track\/mtt\/johnson_michael00.html\" target=\"_blank\">volunteer assistant coach and consultant<\/a> for Baylor&#8217;s track and field program, and the program&#8217;s annual home meet is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylorbears.com\/sports\/c-track\/12-michael-johnson-classic.html\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Johnson Dr Pepper Classic<\/a>. Today, he serves as an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upsportmanagement.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">agent<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaeljohnsonmotivation.com\" target=\"_blank\">motivational speaker<\/a> and oversees a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaeljohnsonperformance.com\" target=\"_blank\">training facility<\/a> in North Texas. Johnson even had the privilege of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-18808595\" target=\"_blank\">carrying the Olympic torch up to Stonehenge<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson&#8217;s Olympic legacy was carried on by another Baylor alum, <a href=\"http:\/\/usatf.org\/Athlete-Bios\/Jeremy-Wariner.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Jeremy Wariner<\/a>, who won two gold medals in 2004 and then a gold and silver in 2008. Wariner is part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/usatf.org\/events\/2012\/OlympicGames\/index-2.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">4&#215;400-meter relay pool for this year&#8217;s games<\/a>.
