Carey serves on the boards of groups like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.menstoppingviolence.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Men Stopping Violence<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsgatl.org\" target=\"_blank\">Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta<\/a> (where CNN is based), and Carey frequently uses her fame to bring attention to issues affecting women.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, she launched a website and blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.richellecarey.com\" target=\"_blank\">richellecarey.com<\/a>, to advance the conversations started as a result of stories like those she covers on television.
