Mendoza hopes to attend Baylor after finishing high school, and rather than hoping for scholarships, he’s gone to work, selling newspapers, mowing lawns, and doing whatever he can to earn a little extra money for college.<\/p>\nMendoza even wears a t-shirt while working that says “Baylor University” on one side, and “Going to College, Send Me There” on the other. He credits his parents with instilling his drive for a good education and says he hopes to eventually become a district attorney.<\/p>\n
