\"MeganAnother day, another Bear on television — and another one appropriate for this time of year, considering how many people seem to connect food with the holidays.<\/p>\n

Megan Lasiter Rountree<\/a>, BBA ’08, is one of seven remaining competitors on TLC’s Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker<\/a><\/em>, which airs Mondays at 8 p.m. CT. Rountree and the others are vying for $50,000 and a chance to work side-by-side with Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro at Carlo’s Bakery. (See her application video here.<\/a>)<\/p>\n

A native of Colleyville, Texas, Rountree earned her degree in entrepreneurship from Baylor two years ago — during which time she often baked for sorority events — then graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Austin. She returned to Waco to serve as Head Baker for Baylor\u2019s Catering Department before opening Legacy Cakes<\/a>, a custom cake and patisserie shop in Grapevine.
