Sound crazy? They explain the basics and demonstrate how it works in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4j2kw5MJK24\" target=\"_blank\">the video below<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"450\" height=\"278\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/4j2kw5MJK24?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"450\" height=\"278\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/4j2kw5MJK24?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Like the iPhone car app, the eye-controlled Mario story has earned some nice publicity for these Baylor grads, with stories running on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/scitech\/2010\/08\/04\/incredible-nerd-stunts\/?test=faces\" target=\"_blank\">FoxNews.com<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/203842\/waterloo_labs_makes_eyecontrolled_mario.html\" target=\"_blank\">PC World<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2010\/08\/04\/eye-mario-system-enables-your-face-to-control-any-nes-game-vide\/\" target=\"_blank\">Engadget<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/gadgetlab\/tag\/waterloo-labs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wired<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.popsci.com\/diy\/article\/2010-08\/video-play-super-mario-bros-using-nothing-your-eyes\" target=\"_blank\">Popular Science<\/a>, and even an extended segment on <a href=\"http:\/\/au.tv.yahoo.com\/the-morning-show\/video\/-\/watch\/21318973\/\" target=\"_blank\">an Australian morning show<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As we noted previously, the engineers at Waterloo Labs tackle such projects simply because they enjoy testing the limits of their own abilities while having fun with do-it-yourself-type projects &#8212; much like TV&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/dsc.discovery.com\/tv\/mythbusters\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mythbusters<\/a>.
