With the non-conference portion of the schedule complete, the Bears and Lady Bears each begin Big 12 play on Saturday; <a href=\"http:\/\/baylorbears.cstv.com\/sports\/m-baskbl\/spec-rel\/010709aac.html\" target=\"_blank\">the men host Texas Tech<\/a> in the Ferrell Center (12:45 p.m., <a href=\"http:\/\/baylorbears.cstv.com\/sports\/m-baskbl\/spec-rel\/010609aac.html\" target=\"_blank\">televised across much of Texas<\/a>) while the <a href=\"http:\/\/baylorbears.cstv.com\/sports\/w-baskbl\/spec-rel\/010809aac.html\" target=\"_blank\">women hit the road to face Colorado<\/a> (5 p.m. CT, <a href=\"http:\/\/baylorbears.cstv.com\/sports\/w-baskbl\/spec-rel\/010809aab.html\" target=\"_blank\">televised regionally<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Both teams begin conference play about where they hoped to be. With a 12-1 record, the Lady Bears are ranked <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.espn.go.com\/ncw\/rankings\" target=\"_blank\">No. 5 in the coaches&#8217; poll and No. 6 by the Associated Press<\/a>, their highest places so far this season. Head coach Kim Mulkey&#8217;s squad has now been ranked in a school-record 100 straight AP polls dating back to the 2003-04 season.<\/p>\n<p>The men are boasting a program-record streak as well, sitting at <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.espn.go.com\/ncb\/rankings\" target=\"_blank\">No. 23 in both rankings<\/a> and having appeared in\u00a0 the AP poll for six consecutive weeks &#8212; a program first.
