Since Thanksgiving, however, things have been anything but slow around Baylor!<\/p>\n<p>Winter festivities began on the first day back after Thanksgiving, as Student Activities and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/student_activities\/greek_life\/index.php?id=37726\" target=\"_blank\">Baylor Interfraternity Council<\/a> presented &#8220;Baylor on Ice.&#8221; For one afternoon, Barfield Drawing Room in the SUB was turned into an ice skating rink! (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/baylorproud\/galleries\/Christmas2009\/\" target=\"_blank\">See pictures from this and other winter happenings in this photo gallery.<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Amidst the cold Thursday night, Baylor celebrated <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/student_activities\/bac\/index.php?id=64175\" target=\"_blank\">Christmas on 5th Street<\/a> with free concerts, a live nativity, carriage rides, and of course the KOT Christmas Tree Lighting. The next day, hundreds of local children gathered in the McLane Student Life Center gym for the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/student_activities\/service\/index.php?id=35443\" target=\"_blank\">Santa&#8217;s Workshop<\/a>. To top it all off, we got a nice surprise midday Friday when it began <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/album.php?aid=130943&amp;id=61388081925&amp;ref=mf\" target=\"_blank\">snowing<\/a> right here in Waco!<\/p>\n<p>Sic \u2019em, Christmas lovers and especially Christmas snow!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday was the last day of classes, so things are a little slow around campus as students prepare for final exams (which begin Thursday).
