Baylor Homecoming has been a tradition for almost 120 years, and for good reason. From reunions to the pep rally and bonfire Friday night, and on through the parade and football game on Saturday, there’s something for everyone — and all of it covered in green and gold.<\/p>\n

If you want to make sure you hit all the highlights, we’ve got just the itinerary for you:<\/p>\n

\n

FRIDAY:<\/em><\/p>\n

Get to Waco in time for lunch on Friday, so you can start the weekend by revisiting one of your old Waco favorites.\u00a0Spots like George’s<\/a>, Vitek’s<\/a>, Baris<\/a>, Ninfa’s<\/a> and Poppa Rollo’s<\/a> have served generations of Bears, and are still Waco staples today.<\/p>\n

After lunch, check into your hotel before heading to campus to stroll the grounds. Revisit favorite spots (like the Quad, SUB, your dorm, etc.), and check out newer additions (such as East Village, the Foster Campus for Business and Innovation, McLane Stadium, Foster Pavilion, etc.). This handy online campus map<\/a> may come in handy.<\/p>\n

Late in the afternoon, make your way to the Hurd Welcome Center<\/a> to begin the evening. Baylor staff will be on hand to answer questions and help you connect with school\/college\/campus events, and you’ll also find a host of kids’ crafts and activities, Baylor history exhibits, photo ops, and more.<\/p>\n

Grab dinner at one of the food trucks along Third Street, then enjoy one of the evening’s highlights such as Singspiration<\/a>, the Royal and Pure Homecoming Stroll Off<\/a>, or Pigskin<\/a> (if you were lucky enough to land Pigskin tickets).<\/p>\n

By 9:00, you’ll want to be on Fountain Mall for the\u00a0Pep Rally and Bonfire<\/a>, which close out the evening. (Don’t forget to take the requisite selfie or family photo in front of the roaring flame!)<\/p>\n

SATURDAY:<\/em><\/p>\n

If you’re a coffee person, try one of Waco’s many coffeehouses<\/a> on your way to campus. Make sure you leave plenty of time grab a good spot on campus for the Homecoming Parade<\/a> — still believed to the nation’s largest collegiate homecoming parade.<\/p>\n

Then head to McLane Stadium for the homecoming game<\/a>. If time allows, wander through the tailgating (and sailgating!) scene along the Brazos and enjoy the live music at Baylor Backyard Live<\/a> before heading into the stadium to cheer on the Bears.<\/p>\n
