\"ZuzanaSpring semester classes don’t start until Monday, but the spring athletic season is already underway<\/a>. And if preseason prognostications hold up, the next several months should be a lot of fun for Baylor fans. Baylor’s men’s tennis team is ranked No. 4 nationally<\/a>, with a pair of players in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA’s) singles top 100; sophomore Denes Lukacs is No. 10, while junior David Galic is No. 79.<\/p>\n

The Baylor women’s tennis program isn’t far behind at No. 13<\/a>. Five Bears earned spots in the ITA singles top 100, including three in the top 25: three-time all-American Zuzana Zemenova (pictured) at No. 15, sophomore Lenka Broosova at No. 18, and freshman Taylor Ormond at No. 23. Two doubles teams are ranked, as well.<\/p>\n

Over in the world of track and field, the Baylor men will start the spring ranked 10th in the nation<\/a>. Three quartermilers rank among the top 20 individually, which might explain why Track and Field News<\/em> ranked Baylor No. 1 in its national relay rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Women’s golf is in on the rankings party, too. Golf Digest<\/em> named the Lady Bears the No. 22 program<\/a> for students with dreams of playing golf in and beyond college and the No. 32 program for students who place equal emphasis on school and sports.<\/p>\n

And that doesn’t even include Baylor’s baseball<\/a> and softball<\/a> programs, each of which has its eyes on returning to the College World Series; we’ll look at those a little closer to their season openers.<\/p>\n
