You probably felt some uncertainty about the years ahead: How would you\u00a0make\u00a0friends in college? What if you didn&#8217;t\u00a0fit in? What if the university\u00a0you chose was\u00a0not the right fit\u00a0for you?<\/p>\n<p>Since 2001,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/nsp\/index.php?id=956477\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baylor Line Camp<\/a>\u00a0has eased\u00a0those pre-college anxieties for incoming Bears. An extension of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/nsp\/index.php?id=956476\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">orientation<\/a>, Line Camp further prepares new students for their transition to Baylor. Over the course of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1w8aBSbZkrc\">just a few days<\/a>, new first-year and transfer students get to know fellow Bears, become familiar with getting around campus, run the Baylor Line for the first time, learn the cheers and chants they\u2019ll do at sporting events, and even have their own mini All University Sing.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"What is Baylor Line Camp?\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1w8aBSbZkrc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Most will agree that the highlight of Line Camp is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/alumni\/magazine\/0801\/news.php?action=story&amp;story=60398\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the trip to Independence, Texas<\/a>, Baylor\u2019s original home. Here, Baylor\u2019s newest Bears learn about the university\u2019s beginnings, have a meal together, and in a solemn ceremony around\u00a0the last remaining columns of Baylor\u2019s original buildings, are inducted into that good old Baylor Line.<\/p>\n<p>In short, Line Camp is the time when\u00a0nervous freshmen become confident Baylor Bears &#8212; making friends\u00a0and memories that will last a lifetime, and\u00a0realizing that Baylor will soon be &#8212; and will always be &#8212; their second home.<\/p>\n<p>Sic \u2019em, Line Campers!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Think back to when you were a high school senior preparing for college.
