When it opens in Summer 2023, the Mark and Paula Hurd Welcome Center will serve as a sort of &#8220;front door&#8221; to the university &#8212; welcoming prospective students and alumni alike, with everything from high-tech interactive experiences to a spirit shop, coffee shop, ballroom, and office space.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/mediacommunications\/news.php?action=story&amp;story=213957\">Mark Hurd passed away in October 2019<\/a>, but his wife, Paula, continues to be actively engaged with the project.
