Twelve teams, many of them providing discipline-specific services, traveled to five countries. For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A group of business students partnered with Compassion International and local churches to provide seminars on basis accounting practices to local business in Uganda.<\/li>\n<li>After completing construction on a hydro-generator last year, engineering students visiting Honduras this summer helped a group of small business owners learn to manage the electricity created.<\/li>\n<li>In Kenya, athletic chaplain Wes Yeary headed a group of student-athletes who worked with churches and other organizations to offer sports camps and share the Gospel.<\/li>\n<li>The Baylor Men&#8217;s Choir toured Argentina, performing in churches and schools and participating with local missionaries in outreaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pre-med students, social work undergraduates and graduates, and a team from Brooks Residential College were among the other specialized teams that headed overseas on missions this year, as well as a general ministry team that visited orphanages and ministered to street children in Nairobi.
