Baylor\u2019s 2021 university commercial debuted on television during the Bears&#8217; football game on Saturday; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Zmw1dW3yUmI\">see it for yourself here<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Baylor University: Let There Be Light\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Zmw1dW3yUmI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The 30-second spot, titled &#8220;Let There Be Light,&#8221; continues Baylor&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.baylor.edu\/baylorproud\/2018\/01\/just-what-is-baylor-lights-all-about\/\">Where Lights Shine Bright<\/a>&#8221; brand campaign and features scenes of campus life paired with couplets that paint a picture of BU&#8217;s vibrant, active campus experience &#8212; supported by a caring Christian community &#8212; that prepares Baylor students to shine as leaders and servants in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The music accompanying the spot comes from Nashville-based Christian duo <a href=\"https:\/\/weareapolloltd.com\/\">Apollo LTD<\/a>, known for their exuberant, &#8217;80s and &#8217;90s-influenced sound. The group\u2019s recent release, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lpHIHGg52fs\">Sunday Morning Feeling<\/a>,&#8221; provides the soundtrack for the commercial.\u00a0The spot will be televised regularly across a variety of networks during Baylor sporting events this year.<\/p>\n<p>The commercial was directed by Dallas-based Norry Niven, whose Emmy-winning work has reached millions for global brands such as Gatorade, Ford, Lincoln, McDonald\u2019s, HBO, Showtime, Disney and Visa.\u00a0Produced in partnership with Johnson &amp; Sekin, Baylor&#8217;s Dallas-based advertising agency of record since fall 2017, the commercial was shot on Baylor\u2019s campus using 23 current students and faculty.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Baylor\u2019s &#8216;Lights Shine Bright&#8217; campaign has been especially meaningful during the past 18 months, as we all have dealt with the challenges of COVID-19,&#8221; says Baylor Vice President of Marketing &amp; Communications and Chief Marketing Officer Jason Cook. &#8220;&#8216;Let There Be Light,&#8217; the theme of this year\u2019s commercial, calls us back to those experiences and relationships that bring us hope and joy as part of the Baylor Family.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sic \u2019em, Bears!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new school year and a new football season present a new opportunity to share what Baylor is all about.
